Wondering what this is like?
Here are the things people ask before getting in front of my camera.
Ask me anythingConsider this your pre-shoot pep talk.
01What should I wear for professional headshots?+
Solid colors and well-fitting clothes keep attention on your face. Navy, charcoal, black, white, and earth tones photograph well. Avoid large logos and busy patterns. Bring a second outfit if your session allows it, and ask me for wardrobe help before we shoot.
02How often should I update my LinkedIn photo?+
Every two to three years is a useful guideline, and sooner if your appearance or career has changed. If the photo no longer looks like the person who will walk into the meeting, it is time for a new one.
03Do you photograph teams as well as individuals?+
Yes. Individual sessions are great for LinkedIn, speaker bios, websites, and professional profiles. For teams I can bring a consistent lighting and background setup to your office or event across the Capital Region.
04What makes a good executive headshot?+
A good executive portrait communicates confidence and approachability without looking stiff. I pay attention to light, posture, expression, wardrobe, eye contact, and natural retouching.
05How long does a session take?+
The Standard booking is a 30-minute calendar appointment. Deluxe portrait sessions run up to 45 minutes, and personal branding sessions run up to two hours. We can talk through the best fit before you book.
06When will I receive my photos?+
The standard headshot package typically delivers within 48–72 hours after your session. Deluxe images are delivered within one week, and personal branding within two weeks. Rush options may be available—ask when booking.
07Can you come to our office?+
Absolutely. I photograph teams on location in Saratoga Springs, Albany, and throughout the Capital Region.
08What should I bring?+
Bring the clothes you plan to wear, plus a lint roller, comb or brush, and any makeup touch-ups you use. If you are deciding between looks, bring options.
09Will you help me pose?+
Yes—every step of the way. Most people are uncomfortable in front of a camera at first. I’ll guide your posture, angles, hands, and expression so you can stop worrying about what to do.
Ready when you are.
I’ll take care of the light, the posing, and that awkward “what do I do with my hands?” moment.
